{"id":664,"date":"2014-08-20T10:45:47","date_gmt":"2014-08-20T10:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.azipit.co.za\/mica2014\/?p=664"},"modified":"2014-08-28T11:14:43","modified_gmt":"2014-08-28T11:14:43","slug":"how-to-make-a-faux-table-out-of-a-bookshelf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/how-to-make-a-faux-table-out-of-a-bookshelf\/","title":{"rendered":"How to make a faux table out of a bookshelf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"listStyles\">\n<li>A stencil design of your choice (you can even draw and cut out your own stencil<\/li>\n<li>Masking tape<\/li>\n<li>Semi-glossy paint colour of your choice<\/li>\n<li>1 Floating Shelf (length should be the same as your desired stencil), try to pick a floating shelf that comes attached with hidden brackets or rods, as this will suit the effect you are trying to achieve with this project.<\/li>\n<li>Quick clamps<\/li>\n<li>Jigsaw and clean-cut blade<\/li>\n<li>Workbench<\/li>\n<li>Paintbrush or foam roller<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"listStyles\">\n<li>Mark the height where you want your shelf to be.<\/li>\n<li>Draw a faux shelf under which you should draw your stencil.<\/li>\n<li>Draw the outline of your faux table legs.<\/li>\n<li>Paint within the lines of your stencil, 2 coats will be best.<\/li>\n<li>Paint the shelf to match the colour of your stencilled table, 2 coats will also be best.
