{"id":597,"date":"2014-08-19T09:09:15","date_gmt":"2014-08-19T09:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.azipit.co.za\/mica2014\/?p=597"},"modified":"2014-08-22T08:51:34","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T08:51:34","slug":"diy-dog-bed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/diy-dog-bed\/","title":{"rendered":"DIY Dog Bed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What you will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"listStyles\">\n<li>Pallet<\/li>\n<li>4 x Locking Wheels<\/li>\n<li>Letter Stencils<\/li>\n<li>Screws (To fit wheels)<\/li>\n<li>Saw<\/li>\n<li>Hammer<\/li>\n<li>Sander<\/li>\n<li>Pencil<\/li>\n<li>Measuring Tape<\/li>\n<li>Acrylic Paint\/ Spray Paint<\/li>\n<li>Paintbrush<\/li>\n<li>Pillow to fit your pet\u2019s size<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol class=\"listStyles\">\n<li>Start by taking the pallet apart by removing the slats on one side using a hammer and prying the middle support board off, this should leave two sides still attached creating a u-shape.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the size you would need for your pet. As pets will vary in size.<\/li>\n<li>Once size is established, trim the pallet by sawing perpendicular to the protruding sides.<\/li>\n<li>Smooth out any rough edges to prevent splinters or grazes using the sander.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the pallet upside down and measure out the areas for the wheels.<\/li>\n<li>When marked out screw wheels into place.<\/li>\n<li>Once the wheels are secure turn the pallet upright.<\/li>\n<li>Using the letter stencils, trace out your pet\u2019s name with a pencil and hand paint or use stencils and spray paint the letters on.<\/li>\n<li>Once dry, place your chosen pillow in the frame and you are done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Need a stylish bed for your best fur friend?
