Why not make something out of it? Then drilled up through the middle.<\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-5-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21474\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>We cut the tube to length using a pipe cutter and then its deburring tool to clean out the inside of the tube. We then used a 10mm tap bit to thread the inside of the tube and screwed home the nipple screw insert. <\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21475\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>We repeated the process at the lower end and screwed on a lock nut to hold the tube firmly in its channel.<\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-7-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Rustic Lamp 7\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-7-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-7-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-7.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>We attached the brass bulb mounting to the top of the tube, ensuring that it was level.<\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-8-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21477\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>We threaded the flex through the tube and at the outer end and attached the plug.<\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-9-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-9-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-9-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-9.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>Strip off about 10mm of insulation and attach the two flex cores as shown to the plug\u2019s small pins. (Neutral on left live on right). Never attach either flex to the top (larger) earth pin. Begin by carefully cutting through one flex core, as shown here  take care not to nick the insulation on the other core.<\/li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lion-test-sites.co.za\/mica-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/MICA-RUSTIC-LAMP-11-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Rustic Lamp Point 4\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21473\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>Separate about 25mm of the cut core other either side of the cut, remove the last 8-10mm of insulation on each and attach to the switch by inserting each end under each screw and tightening the latter. Some people make the mistake of shortening the cut ends.
